Isoloaders

ISOLOADER focuses on service and innovation, and offers assistance with the logistics for intermodal operations, warehouses, and manufacturers/processors. Products are produced with flexibility in design and operation. Proven designs are adapted to the application's needs, while maintaining safety and comfort for the operators.

Straddle carriers

(low to medium volume)

Stack up to 32,000Kg containers up to 2 high. Economic alternative to a container forklift. Chain lift or optional top lift spreader. Fixed mast or optional telescoping mast for adjustable height. Comfortably handles 10-40 containers per day.

When the site requires low to medium throughput of containers of up to 30 per day and 10 per hour, the Isoloader Series 21 may be the better choice. This series handles containers to 32 tonnes and from 20' to 46', ISO or other when specified by the customer. Low to medium transport speeds, on level (less than 2% gradient) concrete, bitumen, or hardpack, are best handled by the Series 21 Isoloader. Lifting is from the bottom of the container with high tensile chains and twistlocks, or by a top mounted spreader, either manually or power operated. Travel speed is 30-100 metres per minute. Lift and lowering speed for a 32 tonne container is .7-4.0 metres per minute. Gross lift is 6' to 7'.

Series 21 Isoloader straddle carriers are tailored to the application with optional maximum lift (24,000Kg or 32,000Kg), solid or pneumatic tyres, LPG, petrol or diesel engines, chain lift or manual or powered spreader, two-high container stacking ability, telescoping mast (for low height clearances), noise reduction package, and other special options when requested by the customer.

LOW VOLUME STRADDLE CARRIERS

ECONOLIFTER

ISOLOADER ECONOLIFTER puts straddle advantages firmly in the hands of the transporter and warehouser.

Packing hefty lifting capacity of 32 tons (6 or 12m containers) the new Econolifter can operate on any hard level surface (gravel or paving etc) – its light tare weight of under 10 tons allows the nimble machine to speedily offload and load trucks and trailers, service loading bays and operate at less than a third of conventional counter-balanced full container handling equipment.

The unique design of the new ISOLOADER allows for dense stacking of boxes by moving through and over the storage area as opposed to around the yard, exchanging the need for large working aisles and operating with extremely low point loadings.  The low point loading reduces the need for costly surface construction associated with conventional container handlers.

The small efficient 4 cylinder diesel engine is the heart of the hydrostatically driven Isoloader minimizing both maintenance and running costs.  Direction change is easily achieved with two driving positions as standard allowing safety and speed of operation in all work situations, moving 4 – 5 boxes an hour on and off trucks, trailers and loading bays.

IF YOU HANDLE BETWEEN  4-5 CONTAINERS AN HOUR – YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THE ECONOLIFTER

MEDIUM VOLUME

Similar to 21 series, but more powerful for higher volume operations. Optional telescoping masts, top lift spreaders, and specialised spreaders for materials handling. Comfortably handles up to 100 containers per day.

Expedited transport times, faster cycle times, and greater flexibility for higher volume operations may draw the customer to the Series 22 over the Series 21. Even though most Series 22 are operated at 5-8Km/hr, speeds up to 16-20 Km/hr can be achieved and maintained. Tolerance for a grade of up to 4 degrees improves the flexibility of this series. The ergonomic design reduces operator fatigue. This series will normally handle up to twenty containers per hour, and 100 containers per day, depending on the application. Travel speed is 50-300 metres per minute. Lift and lowering speed for a 32 tonne container is 4-6 metres per minute. Gross lift is 6' to 7'.

Larger operations may want to consider the rubber tyred gantries or Reach Stackers Options on this series include special lifting spreaders to handle heavy loads other than containers, two wheel drive and others as requested by customers.

Key Benefits:

Expedited transport times, fasters cycle times, and greater flexibility of application.

Rubber tyred Gantries

Compact stacking up to 4 high and 5 wide for low to medium volume. Top lift spreaders or specialised spreaders are available. Radio controlled or up to a travelling cab for maximum visibility. Annual throughputs of 10,000 to 50,000 TEU.

Larger volume operations usually require one or more of these series of rubber tyred gantries. These series will suit the low volume terminal (up to 10,000 containers per year) to the medium-high volume terminals (up to 20,000 containers per year). They offer spans from 10 metres to 17 metres, stacking up to 4 high and 5 wide, radio-controlled or cab versions, and 2.2-litre to 6-litre turbo engines depending on the application. Typical yard configurations serviced would include 1-1-1 (rail-road-store), 2-1-1, compact stacking, and combinations of the above.

Many customers have specific options configurations preferred, and Isoloader produces the equipment accordingly. When the application is not large enough to warrant the Series 31,32 or 33, Isoloader will normally recommend the Series 22 medium volume straddle carrier or the Series 21 low/medium volume straddle carrier. Small operators may need the Series 20 or the Series 41!

Key Benefits:

Facility flexibility, heavy duty construction, increased visibility for the operator.

Straddle Carriers

Other (low volume) machines

Loads and unloads trucks in low volume cost conscious applications. Comfortably handles up to 10 containers per day.

Where the primary function is to load and unload a low volume of trucks and cycle times are less sensitive, the Series 20 Isoloader Mini Straddle Carrier is the low cost option.

This Series of straddle carriers is designed to comfortably handle 10-15 containers per day. It will bottom-chain-lift containers 20' to 46' in length from road vehicles, move short distances and place the container on the ground. In special configurations, this unit can be outfitted to lift packages normally 8' to 10' wide by 10' high; overwidth packages to 11.5' may be lifted with care. Travel speed is 15-20 metres per minute. Lift and lowering speed for a 27 tonne container is .6-.7 metres per minute. Gross lift is 8'6" to 10'.

This machine can turn a container around in less than 10 minutes in a warehouse situation but it does require flat ground to operate on, preferably concrete but other hardstand is also satisfactory providing the surface can take the tyre loads of small tyres when lifting the very heavy containers.

Larger operations may want to consider the larger straddle carriers Series 21 and Series 22, or rubber tyred gantries Series 31,32,33.

Key Benefits:

Low first cost for low volume operations, handles containers up to 27,000Kg.
